Hello there and welcome to the official "Girls Night In" website! I'd like to start off by saying thanks- your interest in the show and the fact that you're even checking out this site really does mean a lot to me. I've worked really hard on this show so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
But in other news, hi! I'm Zelda, a DJ at West Texas A&M's campus radio station KWTS. I am currently in my second year, studying Media Communications, and I can already tell that it's going to be a very busy year. But I'm ready for it. Bring it on.
If this is your first time hearing about "Girls Night In" then let me give you a rundown. "Girls Night In" was created in order to celebrate female vocalists everywhere, regardless of their genre'. Because of this, "Girls Night In" doesn't follow a set format. Instead, each week will cover a specific genre' (like Women of Country) or theme (Love, for example) and have a wide variety of female vocalists featured in each "episode". The rule is as long as the majority of the song is sung by a female vocalist it can be played on "Girls Night In". So, if you have a song you'd like to hear on "Girls Night In", request it! How do you request a song? Well you can call it in on Tuesday nights from 7-9pm or you can use the special members only forums right here on the "Girls Night In" website!
But, whats a member? Well, a whole other blog post talking all about this is coming very soon but the biggest thing you know is that a membership is 100% free, and gives you access to special content like the forums. These forums include a place for you to request songs or give me ideas for show themes, and allows me to interact with you, the viewer, a lot easier than a normal social media page. Like I said before, a more in-depth blog post talking all about what a member is and why you should be one is coming very soon but if you liked what you just read then feel free to sign up using the login/sign up button at the top right corner of the navigation bar.
